The most elegant left-handed batsman ever born, a man who
played those heart soothing cover drives with such perfection, a man who showed
the world how to lead and win matches out of nowhere by just
motivating the team mates, is none other than “The Prince of Calcutta” Saurav
Ganguly. ‘Dada’ as he is fondly called, is said to have nurtured the career of
many of his junior team mates which has proved to be quite beneficial for the
future of Indian Cricket. One can never forget his dramatic gesture when he
took off his shirt after winning the Natwest Series in 2002 against England. Despite
being a prolific batsman and a positive captain he has proved to be an equally
dynamic commentator and a virtuous team mentor, ensuring that Saurav Ganguly is
all Cricket.
